No-residue glass fiber tape for fixing home appliances

Oct 16, 2025

Fiberglass tapes are made from high-strength fiberglass yarn or cloth as reinforcement, a PET film (OPP film) backing, and a specially formulated, high-performance, pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber adhesive. These tapes are manufactured through a coating process. These tapes offer exceptional breaking strength and are primarily used for securing various components during production and shipping. The corresponding film backing provides optimal hardness and excellent resistance to wear, moisture, and abrasion.

Common fiber tapes come in striped and grid patterns, and are also available in single-sided and double-sided versions. Obviously, each type of tape has distinct properties. For example, grid fiber tape has a layer of fiberglass mesh between the adhesive layers, enhancing the tape's vertical and horizontal stability. Double-sided grid tape offers increased strength and is therefore often used for applications such as door and window seals. Striped fiber tape, on the other hand, offers excellent adhesion and is commonly used for sealing cartons and strapping heavy items.

Furthermore, there are non-residue tapes, which are used for moving household appliances with moving parts, such as plastic pallets in refrigerators. Because the tape leaves no adhesive residue, it adheres tightly to various substrates and resists damage from shaking during transport.

Features of this zero-residue fiber tape:
1. High adhesion, no residue after removal

The specially formulated high-performance adhesive ensures perfect adhesion to most materials, leaving no residue after removal.
2. High tensile strength, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance

The backing is made of transparent PET film reinforced with longitudinal glass fibers, ensuring stable adhesive performance.
3. High-performance adhesive with a wide temperature range

The specially formulated high-performance adhesive layer has a wide temperature range, allowing application in a variety of environments, from winter (above 0°C) to summer. Once applied, the tape maintains its adhesive quality over a wide temperature range.
