Introduction to the main applications of ultra short cut glass fiber and polyester fiber

In the production process, ultra short cut glass fibers are often combined with polyester fibers for use. There are many types of products produced by the combination of the two and three of them are briefly introduced below:

1. Lead acid battery separator: Battery separators can be made mainly from ultra short cut glass fibers and polyester ultra short cut fibers with a content of 10% to 30%. This type of battery separator has many advantages such as acid resistance, insulation, high tensile strength, good elasticity, light weight, and heat sealing, which is conducive to reducing costs and thinning the battery separator.

2. Antibacterial paper: Adding antibacterial materials to polyester melt can produce antibacterial polyester ultra short fibers, which are washable, resistant to dissolution of antibacterial materials, do not age under light, and are not prone to bacterial resistance. They can kill various bacterial species. Adding antibacterial ultra short fibers to pulp can produce antibacterial paper. For example, paper core antibacterial paper is used for a certain humidifier to solve the problem of mold and bacteria prevention under wet working conditions.

3. Thermal wax paper: Integrated machine thermal wax paper is the basic raw material for manufacturing thermal wax paper, suitable for plate making in integrated digital printing machines, and has the characteristics of continuous copying tens of thousands of times without deformation or damage to the plate. Thermal wax paper can be produced using polyester ultra short fibers and long fiber mulberry bark pulp with a content of 30% to 70% as the main raw materials. It has the advantages of good ink permeability and high dry wet strength.
