The basic components of glass fiber are required for ceramic glazes, especially alkali free fibers containing 7% B2O3, which is a commonly used component for glazes. It can reduce the melting temperature of glazes, prevent glaze layer cracking, and improve the hardness, glossiness, and chemical corrosion resistance of glazes.
Due to the relatively high price of boron raw materials, it accounts for a high proportion of glaze costs. Fully utilizing the useful components of waste silk can greatly reduce the production cost of glazes.
