In engineering construction, the most commonly used and obvious ones are steel bars and cement, which constitute the main body of the building. But today we are going to introduce a kind of engineering construction material called "soft steel bar" in the insulation system - fiberglass mesh.
The mesh is based on glass fiber woven fabric and is coated after being soaked in polymer anti-emulsion. Because of this, the fiberglass mesh has good alkali resistance, flexibility and tensile strength, and can play an important structural role in the insulation system to prevent cracks. Because the fiberglass mesh has excellent acid and alkali resistance, it can evenly disperse the pressure on the exterior wall insulation, has high tensile strength, and can avoid deformation caused by impact and extrusion. These advantages make the fiberglass mesh widely used in the insulation, waterproofing and crack resistance of the interior and exterior walls of buildings, and also have the reputation of "soft steel bar" in the insulation system.
However, in the use of fiberglass mesh cloth, some special matters need special attention. For example, the protective layer cannot be exposed to water or rain within four hours after construction, otherwise it will lose its original protective properties. What's more interesting is that after the protective layer is finally set, it must be sprayed with water in time for maintenance. There are also requirements for temperature. The average day and night temperature must be higher than 15 degrees Celsius for no less than 48 hours, and lower than 15 degrees Celsius for no less than 72 hours to ensure the effective use of the fiberglass mesh cloth.
