The construction standards of fiberglass mesh cloth are also different in different regions. The outer walls are required to be covered with mesh cloth, and the inner walls are required to be plastered with different materials. The width of the mesh cloth is 300mm in the design drawing. Generally, it is only required to add 200mm wide mesh cloth at different designated materials (only during the indoor plastering construction process, there is no mandatory requirement for external walls).
The fiberglass mesh cloth should be placed before the center layer of the plastering layer is exposed, that is, the base layer should be roughened first, then the fiberglass mesh cloth should be applied, and then the middle layer and surface layer should be applied. Why do you do that?
The purpose of placing the mesh cloth in the center of the plaster layer is to improve the overall crack resistance and tensile strength of the plaster layer, just like the steel bars in reinforced concrete must be placed in the center of the concrete.
There are three different types of exterior wall plastering, one is the exterior wall polystyrene board insulation wall, the other is the decorative column GRC material cylinder, and the other is the concrete wall. Due to the mesh cloth on the decorative columns and styrene board walls, and the disadvantages of the main construction, the plastering thickness is between 30-50mm.
Weaving intention
1. Ensure that the bonding between the plastering layers and between the plastering layer and the bottom layer is stable, without delamination, or hollowing, and the surface layer is without explosive dust and cracks (excluding wind cracks).
2. Prevent hollow cracks from occurring at the junction between the indoor bottom layer and the brick and concrete walls.
3. Prevent hollowing and cracks in plastering on indoor and outdoor window sills.
4. Beware of hollowing cracks caused by holes reserved for door and window frames and masonry construction, holes reserved for scaffolding, masonry joints, etc., where the mortar is not full or the joints are not firm.
5. Beware of common quality defects in wall plastering and rainwater penetration on exterior window countertops, intersections between concrete columns and brick walls, and cornices.
