The Difference Between Fiberglass Cloth and Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP)

Fiberglass cloth is the material used to make FRP products. FRP is actually a composite plastic, made by combining glass fibers with resins, curing agents, accelerators, and other materials through various processes, then curing them.

What should I do if fiberglass cloth accidentally gets on my clothes or body?

Generally, the diameter of conventional fiberglass filaments is between 9 and 13 microns. Floating particles of fiberglass under 6 microns can directly enter the lungs and cause respiratory problems, so special care is required. Fiberglass under 6 microns is generally imported. Wear a professional mask during production operations. Frequent contact can cause inhalation into the lungs, leading to pneumoconiosis.

If fiberglass gets on your body, those with sensitive skin may experience allergic reactions and itching, but generally not serious. Those with sensitive skin may develop small blisters, which are an allergic reaction and can be cured with anti-allergy medication.
