Key points for the construction of exterior wall insulation system
1. Base treatment: Thoroughly remove the floating dust, oil stains, mold release agent, hollows and weathering materials on the surface of the base wall that affect the bonding strength.
2. In order to increase the bonding strength between the extruded board and the base layer, the interface agent should be brushed on both sides of the extruded board.
3. Configure special adhesive:
1) Pour 5 parts (by weight) of dry mixed mortar into a clean plastic bucket, add 1 part of clean water, stir while adding water, and then stir with a handheld electric stirrer for 5 minutes until it is evenly mixed and has a moderate consistency.
2) Let the configured adhesive stand for 5 minutes, then stir and use it. The configured adhesive should be used up within 1 hour.
3) Only clean water is allowed to be added to the configuration of special adhesives, and no other additives (agents) are allowed.
4. Install extruded board

1) The standard board size is 1200*600, and the diagonal error is less than 2. The extruded board is cut with an electric wire cutter or a utility knife, and the size tolerance is ±1.5.

2) Mesh cloth wrapping: Pre-glue mesh cloth on the extruded board at the door and window openings, both sides of the deformation joint, etc. The total width is about 200, and the width of the wrapping part is 80. The specific method is as follows: The mesh cloth is cut to a length of 180 plus the board thickness. First, apply a special adhesive with a length of 80 and a width of 2 on the wrapping part, and then press in a mesh cloth of 80, and throw out the rest for use.

3) Apply the prepared special adhesive to the back of the extruded board. The compacted thickness of the adhesive is about 3. To ensure a firm bond, the bonding method can be the strip bonding method and the strip point method.
4) Strip method: Use a toothed trowel to evenly apply the special adhesive horizontally on the extruded board, with a strip width of 10, a thickness of 10, and a center distance of 50.

5) Strip point method: Use a trowel to apply a special adhesive with a width of 50 and a thickness of 10 around and in the middle of each extruded board, and then apply a mortar cake with a diameter of 100 and a thickness of 10 in the partition area of ​​the extruded board.

6) Quickly paste the extruded board with the special adhesive on the wall to prevent the surface from crusting and losing the bonding effect. Do not apply the special adhesive on the side of the extruded board.

7) After the extruded board is pasted on the wall, it should be flattened with a 2-meter ruler to ensure its flatness and firm adhesion. The boards should be squeezed tightly without any gaps. The gaps formed by uneven cutting should be filled with extruded board strips and smoothed. After each board is pasted, the extruded special adhesive should be removed.
8) The extruded board should be pasted in sections from bottom to top along the horizontal direction. Each row of boards should be staggered by 1/2 board length, and the local minimum staggered seam shall not be less than 100.5. Install the fixings:

① The fixings shall be installed 8 hours after the extruded board is pasted and completed within 24 hours thereafter. Use an impact drill to drill holes at the position required by the design, with a hole diameter of 10, and the depth of drilling into the base wall is about 60. The depth of the fixing anchored into the base wall is about 50 mm to ensure firmness and reliability.

② The number of fixings shall be set according to the requirements of the design instructions.

③ The self-tapping screws shall be squeezed tightly and the engineering plastic expansion nail cap shall be aligned with the surface of the extruded board or slightly screwed in, ensuring that the tail of the expansion nail is screwed back so that it is fully anchored to the base wall.
