1. Temperature change
Pay attention to the weather forecast at any time and grasp the temperature changes. If the weather cools down or it rains or snows, the construction should be stopped immediately. And make sure that the construction temperature is not less than 5℃, otherwise, not only will the curing time change, but the material will also be damaged after freezing, resulting in cracks and reduced water resistance, which seriously affects the quality of the entire system.
2. Exterior wall insulation construction
During the exterior wall insulation construction stage, attention should be paid to:
(1) The water-cement ratio and glue-cement ratio should be used within the specified range. Do not mix the materials too thinly, otherwise it will prolong the solidification time.
(2) The mesh cloth is prohibited from being soaked in water to prevent the mesh cloth from freezing.
(3) When applying the surface, try to choose noon time to reduce the impact of temperature fluctuations.
(4) Due to the lower temperature, the foaming and curing time of the foam glue is prolonged, so the time for grinding the board joints during construction should also be prolonged to avoid grinding before the foam glue is cured.
Note: If the construction project is required to be completed within the year, the construction sequence should first construct the north facade and gable, and finally the south facade (the sunlight time is relatively long in winter).
3. External insulation materials
(1) Storage of external insulation materials:
All liquid or paste materials (such as: plastering glue of two-component plastering mortar, imitation brick decorative mortar, real stone paint/colorful stone, foam glue, etc.) should not be stored at a temperature lower than 5°C and should be placed indoors and covered with cotton felt to increase the storage temperature. All powder materials should be stored in a dry place.
(2) It is strictly forbidden to add any auxiliary materials such as antifreeze agents and early strength agents to bonding mortar, protective mortar and various supporting materials of the company. Anti-grouting agents and early strength agents only work on cement hardening and have no effect on polymer film formation.
(3) Since it is winter, many construction sites will soon stop working. Dealers should make good material plans to avoid excessive surplus. The storage environment on the construction site is very unfavorable for external insulation materials.
