How to use fiberglass mesh for hallway ceilings?

Dec 04, 2025

Glass ceilings are often used for hallway ceilings. Avoid using large expanses of glass in ceilings. Even if you do use glass, use metal, wood, or plaster to separate the glass into grids. Stained glass and sandblasted glass are both good materials for ceilings. Another important point about using fiberglass mesh for ceilings is its thickness. Because glass is heavy, for safety reasons, the thickness of ceiling glass is generally limited to 5-8 mm. Bathroom ceilings can use painted glass, which resists fading and acts as a reflector, enhancing the decorative effect.

Sand the area around the crack clean with sandpaper. Find a plastic strip of the same material as the fiberglass mesh fabric of the outer shell, and make a plastic sheet slightly longer and wider than the crack. Similarly, sand the surface to be bonded cleanly. Then, mix AB glue and glue evenly, and adhere. Allow to dry in the shade before reassembly. The inner surface of the fractured plastic part should be used for bonding to avoid affecting the appearance.
