In the composite material industry, FRP is widely used due to its lightweight, high strength, good corrosion resistance, good electrical properties, good thermal properties, and excellent processability. In the FRP project, what I want to share is that a product that is widely used in the fine chemical industry is corrosion-resistant vinyl.
Vinyl ester resin is a type of modified epoxy resin obtained by reacting bisphenol or phenolic epoxy resin with methacrylic acid. It is usually called vinyl ester resin (VE), also known as epoxy acrylic resin. It is a thermosetting resin.
Vinyl ester resin inherits the excellent characteristics of epoxy resin, has better curability and moldability, and can be dissolved in styrene and acrylic monomers. Since it has the advantages of both epoxy and unsaturation, its application fields are constantly expanding.
Vinyl ester resin products are widely used in FRP lining projects; in modern FRP lining construction, Wanqing Chemical can provide different application guidance and suggestions for various customers, including usage suggestions and program guidance at various structural levels, such as primer, resin, topcoat, glass fiber, surface mat, accelerator, hardener, etc.
1. Iron trough FRP lining project
SWANCOR 901 vinyl ester resin is formulated for use in putty structures to maintain the quality of subsequent coating processes. At the same time, professional vinyl ester can be used to participate in the entire construction process of primer coating, putty, laminate, surface mat coating, and topcoat coating.
2. Normal temperature anti-corrosion lining project for general sewage and wastewater tanks
Vinyl ester can prevent corrosion, such as pH and tank leakage pollution, extending the use of the tank.
3. Concrete FRP anti-corrosion project
For the waterproof protection of the groove lining, the chemical resistance, mechanical properties, and other special properties of vinyl are used to establish good bonding strength and high elongation at break between the primer resin and the concrete. Through professional construction-level guidance, the FRP lining can better protect the concrete structure from corrosive media.
