The thickness of glass fiber yarn directly affects the change of mesh weight.

Apr 16, 2024

When producing mesh cloth, it is necessary to strictly control the thickness of the yarn. Compared with the very small square meter weight, once the thickness of a single fiberglass yarn is unevenly controlled, it is very easy to cause changes in the overall weight of the product.

The gluing of mesh cloth is used to shape the warp and weft yarns of the product. There are three commonly used gluing methods: polypropylene alkali-resistant emulsion, urea-formaldehyde glue, and lactourea mixture. There are different gluing methods according to different product types, scope of use, and regions of use.

When selecting mesh cloth, please pay attention to: for products with very small weights, the warp and weft yarns will be very fine. In this case, you can only use polypropylene emulsion with very good adhesiveness for shaping.

In addition, large-eye mesh fabrics with 10mm holes can only be used in this way, because the holes are too large and the warp and weft yarns are too far apart. Because this product easily becomes hard and brittle in cold areas, and becomes soft and collapses in hot and humid areas. This is why the northern region, especially the northeast, mostly uses alkali-resistant emulsion for styling, while the southern region mostly uses urea glue for styling. Different places of use have different gluing methods. When used on interior walls, latex is always used because the product is soft and adapts well to the complex environment of interior walls. For exterior walls, urea-formaldehyde glue is often used, or the latex is baked very hard because it is mostly a large flat surface, and hard materials are easier to construct.
