What is Fiberglass Wall Cloth?
Fiberglass wall cloth is a woven fabric made of fixed-length glass fiber yarn or textured glass fiber yarn, coated on the surface. It is used for interior wall decoration and is an inorganic decorative material.
Advantages of Fiberglass Wall Cloth
Because fiberglass wall cloth offers superior properties and functions unmatched by traditional decorative materials, it offers excellent economic and technical benefits. With the country's increasing fire protection requirements for public spaces and tightening energy conservation and emission reduction policies, the application of fiberglass wall cloth is expanding.
Performance advantages of fiberglass wall cloth
(1) Good fire resistance: Fire resistance reaches Class A;
(2) Good safety: Non-toxic, harmless, and environmentally friendly;
(3) Good water resistance: Water is not a natural barrier;
(4) Good air permeability and mildew resistance: Walls that can breathe freely can also resist mildew;
(5) Good coverage and high strength: Strong coverage on the wall, can effectively repair defects on new and old walls, and can also effectively prevent cracking;
(6) Good corrosion resistance: Longer service life than traditional wall cloth;
(7) Can be painted multiple times: Meet the changing needs of home fashion decoration and free creativity, while reducing the decoration cost of high-end decoration;
(8) Beautiful: A wide variety of patterns gives the wall more mechanism and shape, and overcomes the shortcomings of traditional latex paint's lack of texture and monotony.
Fiberglass Wallcovering Standards
A technical team led by experts from the Nanjing Fiberglass Research and Design Institute drafted the Chinese building materials industry standard JC/T 996-2006, "Fiberglass Wallcovering." This standard clearly defines physical and chemical properties for wallcovering, including appearance quality, combustible content, tensile strength at break, and limits on leachable hazardous substances (barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, selenium, and antimony). This standard ensures the decorative aesthetics of fiberglass wallcovering while also protecting the environment.
